LBX W on PSP to feature combining robots

The official LBX W site has updated to announce that for the first time in franchise history you will be able to combine LBX! Players will be able to combine the Perseus, Elysion, and Minerva to make the Super LBX Sigma Orbis! LBX fans will know those as the LBXs belonging to Ban, Hiro, and Ran!

Little Battlers eXperience W is being co-developed by Tri-Ace

It has been announced that world renowned RPG developer Tri-Ace is co-developing LBX W for PSP alongside Level-5. Tri-Ace is the studio behind the Star Ocean series from Square Enix, and most recently release Beyond the Labyrinth on 3DS. A release date for LBX W on PSP has yet to be announced.

Little Battlers eXperience Explosive Boost hits July 5, new screens and box art inside

Level-5’s LBX Explosive Boost website has updated to reveal new information on the upcoming 3DS conversion. The title will hit July 5 in Japan at a somewhat budget price of ¥4,400. The new 3DS conversion features touch controls, new weapons, LBX from the LBX W anime, and an expanded multiplayer component. Little Battlers eXperience: Hi-Grade Customization announced for GREE, screenshots + global plans inside

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino and GREE CEO Yoshikazu Tanaka show off LBX Hi-Grade Customization

Level-5 and social gaming giant GREE Inc. have announced a new “comprehensive global partnership” that’ll see three Level-5 franchises have exclusive entries on the mobile gaming platform. The three selected were announced to be Inazuma Eleven with its spinoff, “Atsumeyouze”, Ni No Kuni with “Daibouken Monsters”, and of course LBX with the only somewhat English title “Hi-Grade Customization” (Working title). Unfortunately at the press conference the focus was largely put on Ni No Kuni, but it’s said all titles will be available by Q2 2012, which means they’ll be available before the end of June. Here’s the first LBX Explosive Boost screenshots

Alongside the LBX W screenshots, Level-5 has released a the first batch of screenshots for LBX Explosive Boost. Explosive Boost is the 3DS port of last year’s LBX Boost, which itself was an expanded re-release of LBX. Check out the first LBX W screenshots

Level-5 has released a batch of screenshots and character art promoting LBX W for PSP. The new title features both Ban, and series newcomer Hiro Oozora, a nerd who one day wants to be a super hero. Ban will be using an updated Achilles, with Hiro using Perseus. The concept behind the game is the double main characters, with “W” also being a Japanese symbol for meaning double. It will tie-in to the LBX W anime, and manga series. Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino will serve as the game’s producer, and scenario writer. The rest of the staff, from the director, and animation studio (OLM) will remain the same. W’s official Japanese site can be found here. Read the rest of this entry
